Report: Toyota to kill Sequoia, Tundra redesigned in 2014

"A source speaking with PickupTrucks.com confirmed that the Sequoia won't live on, partially due to slow sales, but surely in part to get Toyota's CAFE ratings in check before the new rules hit in 2015. But all's not lost for the automaker's body-on-frame offerings.

A redesigned Tundra is set to arrive in 2014, just in time for Ford, General Motors and Nissan's newest half-ton pickups. Although sales of the Tundra haven't lived up to Toyota's lofty expectations, it's obvious the automaker feels the need to compete in the segment, and a refreshed model should help sales, despite the market's less-than-enthusiastic reception of Toyota's largest pickup."

Report: Nissan considers relaunching 200SX as a fuel-efficient, affordable fastback

"Nissan's decision to axe the 200SX back in 2002 has left the company with a gaping hole in the low-cost, rear-wheel drive sports car category, thus allowing the competition to swoop up sales with new model introductions. As Nissan aims to re-enter the market with the 200SX, finding a suitable platform has proved challenging. According to Autocar, platform options are limited to just a cut-down 370Z chassis, but that may prove to be too heavy for the 200SX. We're hoping that Nissan can work something out and introduce an efficient, budget-friendly fastback soon."

New Audi A7 Sportback Sedan

"Audi has rolled out its new A7 sportback sedan. It is expected that the all-new car will hit the market later this year as a 2011 model. The A7 is considered to be a new co-flagship along with the new A8. But it is unknown whether the A7 will be able to surpass the A8 in the price category.

It is a four-seater car and is based on the A6 platform. The length of the car is about 193 inches. When it comes to design, one should mention about several body lines found around the shoulders as well as roof. It features a new single-frame grille, more horizontal shoulder, as well as LED taillights."
