Cool New Collision Warning Systems a Hit With Consumers

A recent advancement in wireless collision warning systems has found favor with many consumers who had tested out the device in a government study the Connected Vehicle Safety Pilot Program. An overwhelming 92% of the consumers who tested this device wanted to add the technology to their own cars.

These vehicle-to-vehicle electronic crash-avoidance systems use wireless connectivity to alert drivers about cars approaching an intersection, warn of possible forward collisions, provide “do not pass” alerts and notify drivers of cars changing lanes or moving into the driver’s blind spot.
