Mazda isn’t messing around when it comes to their promise of five all new models for 2016. Plans have been announced to add a small compact car in between the Mazda 2 and Mazda 3 brands. Rumor has it that the it might closely resemble the Mazda Hazumi Compact car introduced at the Geneva Auto Show.
“With its rumored 1.5-liter gasoline and diesel Skyactiv four-cylinder engines, this model will primarily be targeted for the European and American markets. A more powerful version in Europe could possibly be powered by the company’s larger, 2.2-liter diesel powertrain as well, MT suggests. This new Mazda compact could also take on a slightly different styling direction, with a new signature Mazda grille slated to appear on this premium model that makes style a priority.”
