Nissan motor is making plans to install more than 100 DC quick chargers at LEAF-certified dealers for its Nissan LEAF electric cars. Nissan will begin along the east coast and should have over 100 charging stations operational by spring of 2014. Nissan is currently running a pilot program at various dealerships to study usage by current Leaf owners. This announcement was made after Tesla’s most recent announcement that they will also be installing chargers for their Tesla Model S customers. This decision was made after much criticism has been made be the limited driving range of the Leaf electric cars.
