Volkswagen recently released the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, which is an SUV that has been recreated for the purpose of more space and strong amenities.
The Tiguan has been labeled as one of the largest compact SUV’s on the market. It is 11 inches longer when compared with the previously released Volkswagen SUV and is even longer than the Chevrolet Equinox. The extensive length of the SUV has resulted in a third-row on front-wheel-drive models, providing more seating inside and can fit a total of seven passengers.
According to Consumer Reports, the car is easy to operate but doesn’t come with much power as an eight-speed automatic. The SUV has 183 horsepower with a 2.0 liter turbo, four-cylinder engine and runs on regular gas. It is expected to get about 23 mpg overall.
The engine also has a stop-start function which can be turned off and a Sport mode which can give the accelerator a bit of a boost.
The interior of the SUV has gained plenty of positive attention, not only as a result of the impressive size of the vehicle. The car has easy to use controls and a dual built-in touch screen ranging from 12- to 8-inch digital displays. It is smartphone compatible and comes with an abundance of safety features from lane-keeping assist to automatic emergency braking. It has been noted for quiet cabin space and strong steering features.
Pricing for this SUV can range between $24,245 and $39,945, depending on what you’re looking to add on.
