Driven by new emissions standards and a changing market, car manufacturers across the world are rethinking the way cars are built.
Porsche is currently one brand at the forefront of that movement and the release of the Cayenne E-Hybrid is a perfect example. Although many people have been skeptical on Porsche creating hybrid vehicles, they’ve dived in head first and managed to silence many of the nay-sayers.
At $81,000, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid has managed to strike a balance between energy efficiency (with its plug-in adaptability) and the level of performance Porsche’s reputation has long been built on. The Cayenne has always been a beautiful build and brought a sense of refinement to the Porsche name when it first premiered in 2002. However, come 2019, Porsche is proving that hybrids can go beyond the likes of Toyota and Nissan; they now have a home in the luxury vehicle market.
According to first reviews, the Cayenne E-Hybrid is certainly a car to contend with. It’s said to be versatile with an agile chassis, reaching intense speeds, and also includes an interior and infotainment system that is first in its class. It also opens the door to some zero-emissions driving; one of the first models of this caliber to achieve that. Needless to say, Porsche loyalists are excited to see the Cayenne E-Hybrid out on the roads in the coming year.
