We were in for quite a shock when we first saw the Jaguar XFR-S at the L.A. Auto Show. It was a far cry from the typical Jaguar design. Gone is the typical sleek, elegant, luxurious design. In it’s place is a new sleek and sporty design. No doubt about it, this car is definitely trying to appeal to a younger crowd.
Changes to the engine-management controls and exhaust system squeeze an additional 40 horsepower and 41 lb-ft of torque from Jaguar’s blown 5.0-liter V-8, for totals of 550 and 502. That’s good for an estimated 0-to-60-mph time of barely more than four seconds and a terminal velocity of 186 mph.
Available in the U.S. in 2014, the price tag is a mere $99, 895.
