With more and more electric cars on the road, you may be thinking it’s about time to seriously look into an electric car. The promise of gas savings is certainly attractive enough. As are the new lease prices dealerships are offering for electric cars.
If that’s not enough to convince you, then consider Tesla’s claim that electric cars require very little maintenance. Without the many complicated parts needed to make the gas engines run, there is very little else that could go wrong with an electric car.
They even claim that the brakes don’t need to be changed out quite as much as they do in a gas powered car. This is due to the fact that the battery pack actually uses energy from the brakes to help charge itself, thus requiring less energy from the brake pads to stop the car.
